THE PROPHETS VIRTUAL BOOK TOUR: Gaithersburg Book Festival

Award winning author Sadeqa Johnson (Yellow Wife) and debut novelist Robert Jones, Jr. (The Prophets) discuss their novels of enslaved people who must find their own way to self-determination and survival. Pheby goes from a life of relative privilege to one where she must make painful compromises to survive and to protect her children. In a world ruled by vicious masters, Isaiah and Samuel belong to each other, but when the Master’s religion causes their love to be seen as sinful it threatens to tear apart the only community they have. Moderated by Jenny Yacovissi.
