Robert Jones Jr. joins the Smart Brown Girl Book Club for an author chat to discuss his novel, The Prophets, a deeply immersive love story set in the time of American slavery. Carrying the reader from the West Coast of Africa to the plantations of Mississippi, it pushes one’s understanding of heteronormative social standards.
